Well it’s been a rollercoaster for James on if he was ready for school or not. Thanks to my Friend Amy’s advice we went out to pick out a special going to school toy that can clip on to his backpack. That way he can have a toy on the bus but it can’t come off and on… This morning went perfectly with the excitement of the new toy. James got up around 5 and came and cuddled with me until about 6. Then we came downstairs watched a little TV, ate breakfast and got dressed for school. He was so excited about meeting Ms. Connie his bus driver. At 7:40 we all got our coats, socks and shoes on. I took a few pictures of James inside. He wasn’t really up with the picture thing. At 7:45 we went outside and waited. She was a few min. late. We all went out to the yellow bus with red flashing lights as soon as the big double doors swung opened. James was the 3rd student on the bus. He picked the 1st row seat right behind Ms. Connie. She had little people children’s songs playing on the radio. James was great! He got all strapped in and gave me a kiss. I took one last picture, grabbed our little peanut who wanted to go too and stepped off the bus. Travis and I stood on the steps of the house and waved good bye to our big brother as he left for his 1st day of pre-school.
Travis and I then went to the gym. He had fun playing with his friends Olivia and Conner who are about 3-6 mo. older than him. I had a great workout and hope our mornings can continue to go smoothly. When we got home it took Travis a little work to understand he can entertain himself without James and the TV. ;) Now he is resting and James should be home in 5 min. I can’t wait to hear what he has to say. I am sure he will be tired since it is nap time. I might have to wait to find out what he did. I will be sure to post how it went.
It was a happy return from school by James. He was pleased to tell me all about and couldn’t be more enthusiastic. James was sure to tell me how he played with dinosaurs and got to blow and pop bubbles. He told me about how they took him to the potty and he had a snack. However, I don’t know how much of a snack since all he could do when he got home was eat. J It is my thought that James had a great 1st day of school. YA!
