When a few days go by and I haven’t updated our website I feel like I am letting it go. I have to share it makes me feel much better when I look and notice most of my other family members or friends haven’t updated their blogs since August and one even back to May. Maybe I am not slacking as much as others out there or maybe they are just spending more time with their families. Anyway today has been a labor of love. Frank had his knee surgery which I am sure most people know all about if you are his friend on facebook. J I know how he likes to update that! Or should I say I hear!!
After putting James on the bus this morning for school, Frank, Travis and I went to the hospital. After the check in process they quickly got us in to a pre-surgery room. They gave us a kid room which had toys for Travis to play with and keep busy. However I would like to report they didn’t keep him busy long enough seeing as we were in a hospital and they were running on hospital time. By the time came where they were ready for Frank they were about 45 min- 1 hr late. This through a wrench in my plans for James when he got home from school. Plan B consisted of me driving back to the house and getting James off the bus and driving back to the hospital with both the boys. Which by this point were over due for naps. We got to the recovery room and waited for Daddy to come join us. 30 minutes later we were finally done and driving home. Everything went well for Frank and things don’t sound to be as bad as they thought from the MRI. When we got home I got everyone fed and to bed then I ran to the store for some juice for our patient. When I returned I need to give Stubs some attention since he had been locked up all day. I took him on a nice walk down the nature trail where I let him off leash and played ball with the tennis balls he found around the court. When we got home he got dinner and a bone for being a good puppy.
Currently the boys are bathing while I sit in the hall with the laptop and update this. Frank is resting comfortably on the sofa downstairs. With the boys away he is able to rest more. James jumped from one couch to the other and right onto Franks knee. (Sorry Aunt Colie James is not a good nurse). I hope to have the boys down to bed here in the next few moments so I can have a few min. to myself. Wish me luck!
