We all know the great time that the boys had n Vegas with Nana and Papa. The boys always seem to want to go back (which is a great thing) to visit and have fun. As you may recall the journey back from Vegas was not fun at the Las Vegas airport but again we made it home safe. However, I have come to the conclusion that airplanes are definitely a large petri dish of germs. You see about 4 or 5 days after our return home Travis got a fever and was burning up with 102.5. Then the next day Daddy got it. Daddy went to the doctor and it was confirmed by tests that I had the Swine (H1N1) Flu. So we took Travis to the doctor and he too tested positive. So when James got it we assumed the same.
The doctor did nothing really for daddy except to say use your nebulizer, take ibuprofen, etc. For James, nothing as well. Travis was placed on tamiflu but that was an adventure to find. We went to Target, they were out for the syrup for kids. I then called the pharmacy at QFC by our house. They said they can make the syrup by crushing the capsules and mixing with the syrup. So thats what we did. But, why would Target not do the same, even with Molly requesting it and wasting about 45 minutes for the answer of no. Rather frustrating.
We are all mended now and feeling good. I will say the Swine Flu was not fun but also I don't think it was as bad as the media makes it out to be. Sure people have passed away due to it, but 100's of people pass away from the seasonal flu each year. The media is a circus who likes to "scare" people.
