Once upon a time there was a Mom, Dad and two little boys who had a very busy life. Everyone was happy and had a part in making life busy. In the 1st week of the year 2010 James, the older son, started his 4 swimming lesson classes, Mom continued to work on Mondays to help the office out and tried to make it to the gym as many times as she could, Travis, the younger son went along in all the car rides to take James to his classes and Dad did his part to help out and support his family to the best he could.
In the 2nd week of the year 2010 most everything went like the 1st week however, there were some subtle changes. The mom of this family was given a break from cub scouts at church. With the extra time on hand she joined the Events Committee of the home owners association. The 1st meeting was that Wednesday night. Each meeting pays 25 dollars of the homeowner’s dues. So mom trying to save some money thought it was a good idea.
On the 3rd week James had a problem with the school bus. His bus driver Mrs. Connie wasn’t there and the substitute driver drove past the house. Mom went out on the steps to try to get them to see her but they kept slowly driving down the road. Mommy started to run after the bus and finally got it to stop about a block later. Mom got on the bus and showed the driver where to stop. When they got back to the house the door was open and James and Travis were gone. They had crossed the street and started walking the way Mom went. They were about 3 houses down. Mom got off the bus and ran over to the boys. James had tears in his eyes and streams running down his face. He looked up at his mom and said, “Mommy I thought I lost you!” His Mom’s heart broke to for her little boy who now had to go on the bus to school after something so scary. For the next few days James didn’t like going on the bus. Mom had a big work meeting to attend and help with that week and Grandma and Grandpa Novak came to visit and take Mutely, their new puppy from Nana Sheldon, home. There was lots of fun spending time with all our grandparents. On Friday that week Travis and Mom went to meet Mrs. Judy, Travis pre-school teacher for the fall. Travis had so much fun he didn’t want to go home. But mom promised to take him next week when there would be friends to play with.
On the 4th week of the year 2010 we had to say goodbye to Grandpa, Nana & Mutley so they could go home to Vegas. Mom was given the opportunity to help out in the primary at church as the 2nd counselor to the Primary President. With a smile of surprise on her face she said yes and added many meeting and things to do in her calendar. On Thursday Travis went back to school with Mom and had lots more fun with friends there. This time he REALLY didn’t want to go home. He likes Mrs. Judy’s and playing with all his friends. He wants to go back and he was excited to talk about what he did. They were studying the Chinese new year so, for snack they had rice with chopsticks. Travis ate about ¾ a cup with the sticks. He also enjoyed playing on the swing set and having Brecken push him in the car around the playground. That afternoon Aunt Maria came to spend the night and play with the boys and Mom. Dad also had a busy day on Thursday he had 4 interviews for a new job at his office. Turned out that his hard work paid off, he got the job! Saturday after lunch we all met Aunt Maria at the baseball field for the fan fest. The boys played so hard they both fell asleep in the car. They got to do things like tossing baseballs, bating balls, running the bases on the field and playing in a play space. When it was all over we had to say goodbye to Aunt Maria until she comes to visit again. In this busy thing we call life they are all still living happily ever after and plan to keep this story better up to date in the weeks to come.
